We are in a time long before present, where Eurasia is dominated by grassland; the Steppes. Also known as the Green Savannah, the Eurasian Steppes were a bountiful place, full of life; a land of giants. Further north, the land is more barren, overlooked by an enormous glacier, swallowing the northernmost Europe. This is a land conquered by the mighty Mammoths and Woolly Rhinoceros, creatures which have little to fear in their adult life as they migrate across the continent, following the freezing weather. Humans have become intelligent and inhabited Europe alongside their distant brothers, the Neanderthals, although they provide no threat to the world at this point in time. Living in communities scattered across Europe, they have only their weapons to protect them in such a brutal environment.

Wolves exist in this incredible place, flourishing with their high intelligence, although the Steppes are an unforgiving place. The crushing glacier than bears ever down on Eurasia brings sub-freezing winters; with endless snow making movement impossible, or with no liquid at all for miles, simply freezing winds blowing across the permafrost soil. But even when the hot summers arrive and the glacier takes a step back, there are other things to worry about. Gigantic felines, such as Sabre Toothed Cats and Cave Lions might see a distracted wolf as an easy meal, or the Megaceros, with its vast palmate antlers, could break an unprepared canine’s back in a single swift movement.
